Supplement
A request to the insurer to add scope or cost to an approved claim, filed when the original estimate missed work that turns out to be necessary.
In practice
First estimates are frequently incomplete because the adjuster could not see rotted decking, code-required upgrades or hidden flashing until tear-off. A supplement is routine, not a dispute.
