It is not professional advice. It is not legal advice, insurance advice, engineering advice, or a substitute for having a qualified person look at your actual roof. See the legal disclaimer for the full statement, which is part of these terms.
We do not perform roofing work, inspect roofs, dispatch contractors, or sell leads. Nothing here creates a contractor, adjuster, engineer, attorney or agency relationship between us.
Accuracy, and its limits
We source carefully and we tier every claim, but building codes, licensing rules and insurance regulation vary by state and by county and they change. Cost figures are estimates from named third parties and are labelled as such. Standards are revised.
Verify anything that matters against your local building department, your state department of insurance, and the manufacturer’s own documentation before you act on it. Pages carry a last-reviewed date so you can see how current they are.
Safety
Roof work is dangerous and falls from roofs kill people. Where we mark a task “do not go on the roof”, we mean it, and we deliberately publish no procedure for those tasks. Where we mark a task as ground-level or caution, you remain responsible for your own assessment of your own roof, your own equipment and your own capability. We cannot see your roof and we are not there.
Your use of the site
You may read, print, and share pages, and quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not scrape the site wholesale, republish substantial portions, or present our content as your own. See the DMCA page for infringement notices.
