Low slope
A roof shallow enough that shingles will not reliably shed water, generally under about 2:12, requiring a membrane system instead.
In practice
Porches, additions and dormers frequently have a low-slope section attached to a steep-slope main roof. The transition between the two is a common leak point and needs deliberate detailing.
